Hadith 19219
١٩٢١٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع: إذا وهبها لأهلها وهو لا يريد بذلك الطلاق؛ فليس بشيء: قبلوها أو ردوها، وإن نوى طلاقا فهو ما نوى من الطلاق؛ قبلوها أو ردوها.
Hazrat Waki’ (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a person gifts his wife to her own family, then if he did not intend divorce, nothing happens whether they accept it or return it; and if he intended divorce, then whatever he intended will take place whether they return it or accept it.
