Hadith 19078
١٩٠٧٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (نا) (١) محمد بن بشر العبدي قال: نا زكريا بن أبي زائدة قال: نا منصور حدثني إبراهيم عن علقمة قال: كنت (عند) (٢) عبد اللَّه بن مسعود فأتاه رجل فقال: يا أبا عبد الرحمن، إنه كان بيني وبين أهلي بعض ما يكون بين الناس، وإنها قالت: لو كان ما بيدك من الأمر بيدي لعلمت ما (أصنع؟) (٣) ⦗١٨٢⦘ فقلت لها: هي بيدك، قالت: فإني قد طلقتك ثلاثًا، (قال) (٤) عبد اللَّه: هي تطليقة واحدة وأنت أحق بها، قال: فذكرت ذلك لعمر (قال) (٥) فقال: لو قلت غير ذلك (لرأيت) (٦) أنك لم تصب (٧).
Hazrat Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I was with Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) when a man came and said, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! There was some dispute between me and my wife. She said to me, 'If you hand over your matter to me, then see what I do.' I said, 'It is in your hand.' Then she gave herself three divorces." Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "One divorce has taken place, and you have more right to take her back." He says that then I mentioned this to Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said, "If you had said anything else, I would have thought that you did not say the correct thing."
