Hadith 18531
١٨٥٣١ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن مجاهد قال: كان عطاء وأخوات له بمكة في بيت، وأهل مكة يختلف أحدهم إلى أهله في (الليلة) (١) مرارًا، فكان يأتيهن (بالليل) (٢) فسأل ابن عباس: أستاذن عليهن كلما دخلت؟ فقال: نعم! ولم يرخص له في الدخول عليهن بغير إذن (٣).
Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) and some of his sisters lived together in a house in Makkah. Due to his engagements, Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) used to come home late at night. He asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) whether he should seek permission whenever he went to them. Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied, "Yes," and did not permit him to enter without seeking permission.
