Hadith 18216
١٨٢١٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن عيينة عن أيوب بن موسى عن ابن قسيط أن سعيد بن المسيب سئل عن رجل (بُشّر بجارية) (١) فقال بعض القوم: هبها لي فقال سعيد بن المسيب: لم تحل الموهوبة لأحد بعد رسول اللَّه ﷺ و (لو) (٢) أصدقها سوطًا حلت له.
Hazrat Ibn Qasit (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: A man was given the news of the birth of a daughter, and another man said to him, "Will you gift her to me?" Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: After the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it is not permissible for anyone to have a gifted woman; even if he gives her a whip (as dowry), she will become lawful for him.
