Hadith 18133
١٨١٣٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا (عبدة) (١) بن سليمان عن سعيد عن عبد الكريم عن مجاهد ومقسم عن ابن عباس أن أمة أعتقت فاختارت نفسها قبل أن ⦗٥٠٥⦘ يدخل بها قال: لا شيء لها، لا (يجمع) (٢) عليه (أمر) (٣) (يذهب) (٤) بنفسها وماله (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) was asked: If a man marries a slave woman, then before consummation he sets her free, and according to Islamic law the woman is given the choice to accept or reject her husband, but she chooses separation from her husband, will she receive a dowry? He replied: She will not receive anything; she cannot obtain both her person and the dowry.
