Hadith 18103
١٨١٠٣ - حدثنا جرير عن عاصم الأحول عن الشعبي قال: ﴿(قُلْ) (١) لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ﴾ [النور: ٣٠]، قلت للشعبي: الرجل ينظر (إلى) (٢) المرأة لا يرى منها محرمًا قال: ما لك (أن) (٣) (تثقبها) (٤) (بعينيك) (٥).
Hazrat Asim Ahwal (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that once Hazrat Shabi (may Allah have mercy on him) recited the verse of the Holy Qur'an: Tell the believers to lower their gaze. I asked Hazrat Shabi (may Allah have mercy on him): A man looks at a woman but does not look at her forbidden parts, so what is the ruling? He replied: Do you want to pierce her with your eyes?
