Hadith 181
١٨١ - حدثنا ابن علية عن داود عن الشعبي قال: إنما هو المسح على القدمين؛ ألا ترى أن ما كان عليه الغسل جعل عليه التيمم، وما كان عليه المسح أهمل، فلم يجعل عليه التيمم.
Hazrat Sha’bi says that wiping over the feet is permissible. Do you not see that the limbs which were obligatory to wash in ablution were retained in tayammum, and the limbs which were wiped were omitted in tayammum?
