Hadith 17865
١٧٨٦٥ - حدثنا ابن علية عن أبي رجاء قال: سئل الحسن عن ﴿الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ﴾ قال: هو الولي.
Hasan, in the explanation of the verse { الَّذِیْ بِیَدِہٖ عُقْدَۃُ النِّکَاحِ } of the Holy Qur'an, says that by this is meant the wali (guardian/friend).
