Hadith 17790
١٧٧٩٠ - حدثنا عفان عن حماد بن سلمة عن حميد عن إسحاق بن عبد اللَّه بن الحارث عن ابن عباس: ﴿الزَّانِي لَا يَنْكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً﴾، [قال: الزاني لا ⦗٤١٢⦘ (يزني) (١) إلا بزانية أو مشركة] (٢) ولكن اللَّه (كنى) (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them), in the explanation of the verse of the Holy Qur'an { اَلزَّانِیْ لَا یَنْکِحُ اِلَّا زَانِیَۃً }, says that an adulterer commits adultery only with an adulteress or a polytheist woman, but Allah Almighty has stated this matter figuratively.
