Hadith 17785
١٧٧٨٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن ابن أبي ذئب عن شعبة مولى ابن عباس عن ابن عباس قال: بغايا كن في الجاهلية يجعلن على أبوابهن رايات كرايات البياطرة، يأتيهن الناس، يعرفن بذلك (١).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), in the explanation of the verse of the Holy Qur'an { اَلزَّانِیْ لَا یَنْکِحُ اِلَّا زَانِیَۃً }, states that it refers to the immoral women of the Age of Ignorance, who had special flags of cattle sellers at their doors, and people used to come to them. Through the flags, people would come to know about them.
