Hadith 17679
١٧٦٧٩ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن ليث عن مجاهد في قوله: ﴿(وَ) (١) لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ النِّسَاءِ﴾ [البقرة: ٢٣٥]، قال: يقول: إنك (لجميلة) (٢) وإنك (لنافعة) (٣)] (٤) (و) (٥) إنك إلي خير ويكره أن يقول: لا تفوتيني بنفسك وإني عليك (لحريص) (٦).
Hazrat Mujahid, regarding the verse of the Holy Qur'an { وَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَیْکُمْ فِیمَا عَرَّضْتُمْ بِہِ مِنْ خِطْبَۃِ النِّسَائِ }: "And there is no blame upon you for that to which you [indirectly] allude concerning a proposal to women," says that one may say: "You are beautiful, you are generous, you are on the path of goodness." But it is disliked to say: "Do not deprive me of yourself, I cannot live without you."
