Hadith 17678
١٧٦٧٨ - حدثنا جرير (بن) (١) (عبد الحميد عن منصور) (٢) عن مجاهد عن ابن عباس قال: يقول: إني فيك (لراغب) (٣) وإني أريد امرأة أمرها كذا وكذا ويعرض لها بالقول (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states that for the purpose of proposing marriage, a man can say to a woman that "I am interested in you" and "I desire a woman who possesses such and such qualities." He can express this to her through words.
