Hadith 17622
١٧٦٢٢ - حدثنا وكيع (١) عن (أبي) (٢) (جناب) (٣) عن (بكير بن الأخنس) (٤) عن أبيه قال: قرأت من الليل: ﴿حم (١) عسق﴾ فمررت بهذه الآية ﴿وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ (عَنْ) (٥) عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا (تَفْعَلُونَ) (٦)﴾، فغدوت إلى عبد اللَّه أسأله عنها فأتاه رجل فسأله عن الرجل يفجر بالمرأة ثم يتزوجها فقرأ عبد اللَّه: ﴿(وَ) (٧) هُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ (عِبَادِهِ) (٨) وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ﴾ (٩) [الشورى: ١ - ٢، ٢٥].
Hazrat Akhnas says that one night I was reciting Surah { حم عسق }, when I reached this verse: He is Allah who accepts the repentance of His servants and forgives their mistakes, and He knows whatever you do. This verse had a great effect on my heart, so in the morning I went to Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask about it. Meanwhile, a man came to him and said, "If a person commits adultery with a woman and then marries her, what is the ruling on this?" Upon this, Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this verse: "He is Allah who accepts the repentance of His servants and forgives their mistakes."
