Hadith 17395
١٧٣٩٥ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال:) (١) حدثنا (عبد الأعلى) (٢) عن معمر عن الزهري قال: إذا خطب الرجل على الرجل فزوجه فأنكر عليه الآخر، فحقها ثابت: على هذا نصف الصداق.
Hazrat Zuhri says that if a man sent a marriage proposal on behalf of another and the marriage was conducted, but later the groom refused, then the woman's right will be established upon the one who arranged the marriage, and half of the dowry will have to be given.
