Hadith 16935
١٦٩٣٥ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن الصلت بن (بهرام) (١) عن شقيق قال: تزوج حذيفة يهودية فكتب إليه عمر أن خلّ سبيلها، فكتب إليه (٢): إن كانت حرامًا خليت سبيلها، فكتب إليه: إني لا أزعم أنها حرام ولكني أخاف أن يعاطوا (المومسات) (٣) منهن (٤).
Hazrat Shaqiq narrates that Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) married a Jewish woman, so Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote him a letter in which he ordered him to leave her. Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) replied to him in writing that if this is forbidden, then I will leave her. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote that I do not say it is forbidden, but I fear that because of this, people will start turning towards immoral and wicked Jewish women.
