Hadith 16899
١٦٨٩٩ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن (مالك) (١) عن الزهري أن أبا عبد الرحمن سأل زيد بن ثابت أن مملوكة كانت تحت رجل فطلقها (فابتها) (٢) ثم اشتراها، قال: لا تحل له إلا من حيث حرمت عليه (٣).
Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman asked Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that if a slave woman was in someone's marriage, he gave her one divorce, then she became separated (bainah), and the man bought her, what is the ruling now? Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) replied that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.
