١٦٥٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن نصر بن عدي قال: سمعت مجاهدًا يقول: إنما سمي البيت العتيق لأنه أعتق من الجبابرة، فليس جبار يدعي أنه له.
Hazrat Mujahid says that the Ka'bah is called "Bait Atiq" because it has been freed from tyrants, so no tyrant can say that the House of Ka'bah belongs to him.
