Hadith 16439
١٦٤٣٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو خالد عن ابن جريج عن عطاء قال: قال عمر: ﴿مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا﴾ قال: زاد وراحلة (١).
Hazrat Umar, regarding the command of Allah Ta'ala { مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ اِلَیْہِ سَبِیْلًا }, says that provisions for the journey and a means of transport are meant, and Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that whoever finds the means and there is nothing (an obstacle) between him and it, Hazrat Ata said that "sabeela" (the way) is as Allah Ta'ala has commanded.
