في المحرم يقتل الجرادةIf a Muhrim Kills a Locust
Hadith 16346
١٦٣٤٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن يزيد (عن) (١) إبراهيم عن كعب أنه مرت به جرادة فضربها بسوطه فأخذها فشواها، فقالوا له، فقال: هذا خطأ، وأنا أحكم على نفسي في هذا درهمًا، فأتى عمر فقال: وإنكم أهل حمص أكثر شيء دراهم، تمرة خير من جرادة (٢).
A locust passed by Hazrat Ka'b, so he struck it with a whip, then caught it and cooked it. People said to him (What is this?) He said, "This happened by mistake, and for this I have made one dirham obligatory upon myself." Then he went to Hazrat Umar. Hazrat Umar said, "You people of Homs have more dirhams; one date is better than a locust."
