Hadith 14634
١٤٦٣٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن ابن عون عن ابن سيرين قال: حد للناس خمسة: لأهل المدينة ذا الحليفة، ولأهل مكة التنعيم، ولأهل الشام الجحفة، ولأهل اليمن (يلملم) (١)، ولأهل نجد قرن، أو قال: لأهل العراق قرن.
Hazrat Ibn Sirin states that five miqats were established for the people: Dhu'l-Hulayfah for the people of Madinah Munawwarah, Taneem for the people of Makkah Mukarramah, Juhfah for the people of Shaam, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, Qarn for the people of Najd or Qarn for the people of Iraq. Then, after some time had passed, people said to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): Our route is not through Qarn, so its counterpart was made Dhat 'Irq.
