Hadith 14627
١٤٦٢٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى (بن آدم) (١) قال: حدثنا (وهيب) (٢) قال: حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن طاوس عن أبيه عن ابن عباس أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ وقت لأهل المدينة ذا الحليفة، ولأهل الشام الجحفة، ولأهل نجد قرن المنازل، ولأهل اليمن (يلملم) (٣) وقال: "هُنَّ لهم ولكل (آت) (٤) عليهن من غيرهم (ممن) (٥) أراد الحج والعمرة، ومن كان دون ذلك فَمِنْ حيث أنشأ (حتى) (٦) أهل مكة من مكة" (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulaifah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. Then he said: These are for them and for every other person who comes (for Hajj or Umrah) with the intention of pilgrimage; and whoever is before these (boundaries), then he should assume ihram from where he was born, until even the people of Makkah should assume ihram from Makkah itself.
