Hadith 13465
١٣٤٦٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا هشيم عن مغيرة قال: سألت إبراهيم قال: قلت: الذين يعتمرون في رجب ثم يقيمون حتى (يحجوا) (١) (أمتمتعون) (٢) هم؟ قال: لا، إنما المتمتع من أهلَّ (بالعمرة) (٣) في أشهر الحج، ثم أقام حتى يحج، (فذلك) (٤) متمتع وعليه الهدي، أو الصوم (إن) (٥) لم يجد (الهدي) (٦).
Hazrat Mughira narrates that Ibrahim was asked: Some people perform Umrah in the month of Rajab and then stay there to perform Hajj as well. Are such people considered to have performed Hajj Tamattu'? He replied: No, the one who is considered to have performed Hajj Tamattu' is the person who performs Umrah during the months of Hajj, then stays there until Hajj and performs Hajj as well. This person is considered to have performed Tamattu', and he must offer a Hady (sacrificial animal); if he cannot find one, then he should fast.
