Hadith 12872
١٢٨٧٢ - حدثنا محمد بن (بشر) (١) العبدي عن مسعر عن عبيد بن (الحسن) (٢) عن ابن (معقل) (٣) قال: كان على عائشة رقبة أو نسمة تعتقها من ولد إسماعيل قال: (فقدم) (٤) (سبي) (٥) من اليمن قال مسعر: أراه من قبيلة (يقال) (٦) لها (خولان) (٧) قال: فنهاها أن تعتق منهم، قال: (فقدم) (٨) سبي من مضر، أراه قال: من بني (العنبر) (٩) (فأمرها) (١٠) أن تعتق منهم (١١).
Hazrat Ibn Ma'qil narrates that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) had to free a slave from the descendants of Ismail. Some captives came from Yemen; Mus'ar, the narrator, says that he thinks they were from the tribe of Khawlan. She was forbidden to free any of them. Then some captives came from Mudar; the narrator says that he thinks they were from Banu Anbar. Then she was ordered to free one from among them.
