Hadith 12735
١٢٧٣٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن أيوب عن نافع قال: كان ابن عمر إذا حلف أطعم مدًا (وإن وكدّ) (١) أعتق (٢).
Hazrat Nafi' says that whenever Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) would take an oath, he would give away one mudd (of food), and if he would emphasize it, he would free a slave. Ayub says that I asked Hazrat Nafi' what is meant by emphasizing and making it firm? He replied, taking an oath repeatedly on the same thing.
