Hadith 12689
١٢٦٨٩ - حدثنا محمد بن بشر قال: حدثنا مسعر قال: حدثنا علي بن (زيد) (١) ابن جدعان قال: حدثنا (الحسن) (٢) قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن سمرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا حلفت على يمين، فرأيت ما هو خير منها، فائت الذي هو خير وكفر يمينك" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Samurah that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When you take an oath, then see something better than it, then come to what is better and offer expiation for your oath.
