الرجل يكلف بغير الله أو بأبيهIf someone swears by other than Allah or by his father
Hadith 12677
١٢٦٧٧ - حدثنا (عبيد اللَّه) (١) قال أنبانا إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن مصعب بن (سعد) (٢) عن أبيه أنه قال: حلفت باللات والعزى، فأتيت النبي ﷺ فقلت: إني حلفت باللات والعزى، قال: "قل لا إله إلا اللَّه ثلاثًا وانفث عن شمالك ثلاثًا وتعوذ باللَّه من الشيطان ثم لا تعد" (٣).
Hazrat Mus'ab bin Sa'd narrates from his father that I swore by Lat and 'Uzza. I came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I have sworn by Lat and 'Uzza." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say "La ilaha illallah" three times, spit to your left three times, seek refuge with Allah from Satan, and do not say such a thing again.
