الرجل يكلف بغير الله أو بأبيهIf someone swears by other than Allah or by his father
Hadith 12670
١٢٦٧٠ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن العلاء بن المسيب عن أبيه قال: (قال) (١) كعب: إنكم تشركون، قالوا: (وكيف) (٢) يا أبا إسحاق؟ قال: يحلف الرجل: لا وأبي، لا وأبيك، لا لعمري، لا وحياتك، لا وحرمة المسجد، لا والإسلام وأشباهه من القول (٣).
Hazrat Ka'b said: Surely you people commit shirk. The people asked, O Abu Ishaq! How? He replied: People swear oaths such as "By my father's life," "By your father's life," "By my life and age," "By your life," "By the sanctity of the mosque," "By Islam," and other similar oaths (all of these are indeed shirk).
