Hadith 12573
١٢٥٧٣ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن الأعمش عن شقيق عن يسار بن نمير قال: قال لي عمر: إني أحلف لا أعطي أقوامًا شيئًا (ثم يبدو لي) (١) فأعطيهم، فإذا فعلت ذلك فأطعم عني عشرة مساكين، بين كل مسكينين صاع من بر أو صاع من (تمر) (٢) لكل مسكين (٣).
Hazrat Yasar bin Namir narrates that Hazrat Umar said to me: I had sworn an oath that I would not give anything to anyone, then some people came to me and I gave them something. When I did this, you should feed ten needy people on my behalf; between two needy people there should be one sa’ of wheat, or one sa’ of dates for each needy person.
