الندر إذا لم يسم له كفارةIf one makes a vow without naming it, is expiation required?
Hadith 12559
١٢٥٥٩ - حدثنا عبدة عن سعيد عن قتادة عن ابن عباس قال: (إذا قال) (١): عليَّ نذر ولم يسم فهي يمين مغلظة، (يحرر) (٢) رقبة (أو) (٣) يصوم شهرين أو يطعم ستين مسكينًا (٤).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says: When a person says, "I have made a vow upon myself," and does not specify it, then it is a severe oath; he should free a slave, or fast for sixty days, or feed sixty needy people. Hasan says that it is an oath, and expiation will be due upon it.
