Hadith 12309
١٢٣٠٩ - حدثنا (سعيد) (١) بن يحيى عن سفيان (بن) (٢) حسين عن الزهري عن أبي أمامة بن سهل عن أبيه قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ يعود فقراء أهل المدينة ويشهد جنائزهم إذا ماتوا، قال: فتوفيت امرأة من أهل العوالي فدفناها، قال: فمشى رسول اللَّه ﷺ إلى قبرها فصلى عليها فكبر أربعًا (٣).
Hazrat Abu Umamah bin Sahl narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to visit the sick among the poor people of Madinah and would offer their funeral prayer when they passed away. He narrates that a woman from among the people of 'Awali passed away and was buried. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her grave, offered her funeral prayer, and recited four takbirs.
