Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) visited the grave of his respected mother, and he wept, and those around him also began to weep. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I sought permission from my Lord to pray for her forgiveness, but I was not granted permission. And I sought permission from my Lord to visit graves, and I was granted permission. So you should visit graves, for this will remind you of death.
