Hadith 11872
١١٨٧٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن ابن أبي ذئب عن سعيد المقبري عن أبيه قال: رأيت أبا هريرة ومروان يمشيان أمام الجنازة ثم جلسا، فجاء أبو سعيد الخدري قال: قم أيها الأمير فقد علم هذا -يعني أبا هريرة- أن (النبي) (١) ﷺ كان إذا اتبع الجنازة لم يجلس حتى توضع (٢).
Hazrat Saeed Al-Maqburi narrates from his father that I saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Marwan walking in front of a funeral, then both of them sat down. Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri arrived and said: O Amir, stand up. He (Abu Hurairah) knows that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would go with a funeral, he would not sit down until the funeral was placed down.
