ما قالوا في التكبير على الجنازة من كبر أربعاSome scholars hold that there are four takbirs in the funeral prayer
Hadith 11781
١١٧٨١ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الهجري قال: صليت مع عبد اللَّه بن أبي أوفى على جنازة فكبر عليها أربعًا، ثم قام (هنيهة) (١) حتى ظننت أنه (يكبر) (٢) خمسًا، ثم سلم فقال: أكنتم ترون أني أكبر خمسًا؛ (إنما) (٣) قمت كلما رأيت رسول اللَّه ﷺ قام (٤).
Hazrat Al-Hajri narrates that I offered the funeral prayer behind Hazrat Abdullah bin Abi Awfa. He recited four takbirs in it, then stood for a short while, until we thought that he would say the fifth takbir. Then he said salam and said: Did you think that I would say the fifth takbir? I stood in the same manner as I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stand.
