Hadith 11691
١١٦٩١ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين قال: (ثنا) (١) البراء بن (يزيد) (٢) قال: رأيت الشعبي في جنازة فرأيته يمشي خلفها ولا يحملها، ولم يمس عودها حتى وضعت على (شفير) (٣) القبر، ثم تنحى فجلس، وكان شيخًا.
Hazrat Al-Bara bin Yazid narrates that I saw Hazrat Sha’bi at a funeral. I saw that he was walking behind the funeral and did not shoulder it, nor did he touch its legs until the deceased was placed at the edge of the grave. Then he moved away and sat down, and at that time he was old.
