ما قالوا فيما يجزئ من حمل جنازةHow Much Carrying of the Bier Is Sufficient
Hadith 11617
١١٦١٧ - حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن منصور عن عبيد بن (نسطاس) (١) قال: كنا مع أبي عبيدة بن عبد اللَّه في جنازة فقال: قال عبد اللَّه: إذا كان أحدكم في جنازة (فليحمل) (٢) (بجوانب) (٣) السرير كله، فإنه من السنة له، (ثم) (٤) ليتطوع (أو) (٥) ليدع (٦).
Hazrat Ubaid bin Nastas narrates that we were with Hazrat Abu Ubaidah bin Abdullah at a funeral. Hazrat Abdullah said: When any of you is at a funeral, he should shoulder all four sides of the bier, for indeed this is from the Sunnah. Then he may (voluntarily) lift it again or leave it for others.
