ما قالوا في كم يكفن الميت؟How Many Shrouds Should Be Used for the Deceased
Hadith 11369
١١٣٦٩ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن هشام (بن) (١) عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ كفن في ثلاثة أثواب (يمانية) (٢) ليس فيها قميص ولا عمامة، فقلنا لعائشة: إنهم يزعمون أنه كان كفن في برد حبرة فقالت: قد جاؤوا ببئر حبرة ولم يكفنوه (فيه) (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in three Yemeni garments, and in this (shroud) there was neither a shirt nor a turban. The narrator says that we asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that people think the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in a cotton sheet? She replied: A cotton sheet was indeed brought, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was not shrouded in it.
