It is narrated from Imam Shabi that when Hazrat Salman participated in the Battle of Lanjir, he received a pouch of musk in the distribution of spoils. When he returned, he entrusted that pouch to his wife for safekeeping. Later, when he fell ill with the illness that led to his death, he said to his wife: "Bring me the pouch that I entrusted to you." She brought the pouch to him. He said, "Sprinkle it around me, because there are such creatures present around me who do not eat or drink, but they perceive fragrance." Then he said, "Take it away from me and make a promise to me." She says, "I left, and when I returned, his soul had departed from this world."
