Hadith 11083
١١٠٨٣ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن مجالد عن الشعبي أن غلامًا من العرب وجد (ستوقة) (١) فيها عشرة آلاف فأتى بها عمر، فأخذ منها خمسها ألفين وأعطاه ثمانية آلاف (٢).
It is narrated from Imam Sha'bi that an Arab slave found some money whose value was ten thousand. The slave took the money and presented it to Hazrat Umar, so he took two thousand as khums from it and returned the remaining eight thousand to him.
