Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umayyah bin Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Nafi’ bin Alqamah wrote to Abdul Malik bin Marwan asking whether the slave who works in the orchard and the slave who is with the livestock are also liable for Sadaqat al-Fitr. He replied: No, because for the slave who is in the orchard or with the livestock, you have already paid their zakat, therefore Sadaqat al-Fitr is not obligatory on them.
