Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ismail bin Sulaiman says that I was present with Hazrat Sha’bi when a slave asked him, “I earn such and such amount, and from it my master takes such and such portion. Can I give charity from it?” He replied, “(If you give charity) its reward will be for your master.”
