Hadith 10378
١٠٣٧٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص (بن غياث) (١) عن حجاج عن الحكم أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ بعث ساعيًا على الصدقة، فأتى العباس (يستسلفه) (٢)، فقال له العباس: إني (أسلفت) (٣) صدقة مالي (إلى) (٤) سنتين، فأتى النبي ﷺ، ⦗٢٣١⦘ (فأخبره) (٥) فقال: "صدق عمي" (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Hakam that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent the collector of Zakat to collect Zakat. He went to Hazrat Abbas and asked him for Zakat. Hazrat Abbas said to him that he had already paid the Zakat of his wealth for two years in advance. The collector of Zakat came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him of this. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My uncle has spoken the truth."
