Hadith 10032
١٠٠٣٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن ابن (عون) (١) عن زياد بن جبير قال: جاء رجل إلى ابن عمر فسأله عن رجل نذر (أن) (٢) يصوم يومًا فوافق ذلك فطرًا أو أضحى قال: أمر اللَّه تعالى بوفاء النذر ونهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن صيام هذا اليوم (٣).
Hazrat Ziyad bin Jubair says that a man came to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) and asked him: If a man makes a vow to fast on the day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha, what should he do? Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) replied: Allah Almighty has commanded the fulfillment of vows, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden fasting on these days.
