Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: A funeral passed by and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, so we also stood up with him. Then we said, "O Messenger of Allah! It is the funeral of a Jewish woman." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Death is a distressing thing. When you see a funeral, stand up."
