(تَغْيِيرُ بُرَّةَ إِلَى جُوَيْرِيَةَ)(Changing Burra to Juwayriya)

وَعَن ابنِ عبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كَانَتْ جُوَيْرِيَةُ اسْمُهَا بَرَّةُ فَحَوَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْمَهَا جُوَيْرِيَةَ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُقَالَ: خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِ برة. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: The name of Juwayriyyah, may Allah be pleased with her, was Barrah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, changed her name to Juwayriyyah, and he, peace and blessings be upon him, disliked that it be said: "He has left from Barrah." Narrated by Muslim.
