بَابُ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 1117-2 — Laylat al-Qadr
قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ مَرْثَدٍ أَوِ ابْنِ مَرْثَدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَسُئِلَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مَا بَعْدَهُ .
قُلْتُ : هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالنَّسَائِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ أَيْضًا ، وَلَيْسَ بِتَمَامِهِ .
1117 \ 3 - وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَذَكَرَهُ ، وَزَادَ فِيهِ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، فَأَخْبِرْنَا بِهَا ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَوْ أُذِنَ لِي فِيهَا لَأَخْبَرْتُكُمْ بِهَا .
1117 \ 4 - وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ سِمَاكٌ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، ثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مَرْثَدٌ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .
قُلْتُ : هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالنَّسَائِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ أَيْضًا ، وَلَيْسَ بِتَمَامِهِ .

1117 \ 4 - وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ سِمَاكٌ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، ثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مَرْثَدٌ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .
Marthad (or Ibn Marthad), the student of Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates from his father: I was present with Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was asked about the Night of Decree, and he mentioned it (like the previous narration) until he reached the words "the last ten," and he did not mention what comes after it.
I (Ibn Hajar) say: This chain is hasan sahih; and Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Nasa'i also narrated it from the hadith of Abu Zumayl, but not in full.
In the narration of Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah there is this addition: I said: O Messenger of Allah, tell us about it (this night). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had I been permitted to inform (you) about it, I would certainly have informed you of it."
Imam Musaddad also narrated, with his chain, from Malik bin Marthad, from his father Marthad, who said: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), and then he narrated a hadith like it.
