Statement about Uthman

Hadith 1276

لمن أنت قالت للمقتول شهيدا عثمان بن عفان

"(On the night of Mi'raj, the Prophet ﷺ asked a houri:) 'For whom are you?' She replied: 'For Uthman ibn Affan, who will attain martyrdom.'"

Hadith 1277

انه كان يبغض عثمان فأبغضه الله

"(The Prophet ﷺ did not lead the funeral prayer of a man, so when the Companions inquired about the reason, he explained:) This person used to hate Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), so Allah also hates him."

ان عثمان ليتحول من منزل الي منزل فتبرق له الجنة

"When Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) moves from one place to another, Paradise shines for him."

Hadith 1279

أن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم نهض الي عثمان فاعتنقه ثم قال أنت ولي فى الدنيا والأخرة

"The Prophet (peace be upon him) stood up, held Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) firmly, then said: 'You are my friend in this world and the Hereafter.'"

Hadith 1280

لكل نبي خليل فى امته وان خليلي عثمان بن عفان

"Every prophet has a close friend (khalil) in his community, and my close friend is Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him)."

Hadith 1281

ما فى الجنة شجرة الا مكتوب على كل ورقة منها . . . عثمان ذو النورين

"On every leaf of the trees of Paradise, (along with my name) is written 'Uthman Dhu al-Nurayn.'"
