1؎: When you marry, you will have children, and thus my ummah will increase. The author has not narrated the hadith of Anas radi Allahu anhu, which has been reported by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban, that one should marry a woman who is loving towards her husband and very fertile, for indeed, I will take pride in your great numbers before the other prophets on the Day of Resurrection.

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Marriage is among the important injunctions of Islam; therefore, remaining unmarried without a valid reason is not permissible.
➋ Having many children is legislatively desirable, because it is a cause of joy for the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). A hadith with this meaning is also narrated from Hazrat Ma’qil bin Yasar (radi Allahu anhu), whose wording is as follows: “Marry the loving and fertile woman, for I will boast of your numbers before the other nations.” (Sunan Abi Dawud, Book of Marriage, Chapter: Prohibition of Marrying Women Who Do Not Bear Children, Hadith: 205)
➌ One can estimate and hope that a woman will have many children by considering the circumstances of her mother, sisters, etc.
