كِتَاب التَّمَنِّي
The Book of Wishes

بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي التَّمَنِّي وَمَنْ تَمَنَّى الشَّهَادَةَ:
Chapter. What is said regarding wishes, and whoever wished for martyrdom.
2 بَابُ تَمَنِّي الْخَيْرِ:Chapter. To wish for good.
3 بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ»:Chapter. The statement of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.): “If I had formerly known what I came to know lately...”
4 بَابُ قَوْلِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا:Chapter. The statement of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.): “Would that so-and-so...”
5 بَابُ تَمَنِّي الْقُرْآنِ وَالْعِلْمِ:Chapter. To wish for (learning) the Quran and (religious) knowledge.
6 بَابُ مَا يُكْرَهُ مِنَ التَّمَنِّي:Chapter. What kind of wishing is disliked.
7 بَابُ قَوْلِ الرَّجُلِ لَوْلاَ اللَّهُ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا:Chapter. The statement of a man, “Without Allah, we would not have been guided.”
8 بَابُ كَرَاهِيَةِ التَّمَنِّي لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ:Chapter. It is disapproved to long for meeting the enemy.
9 بَابُ مَا يَجُوزُ مِنَ اللَّوْ:Chapter. What uses of Al-Lau are allowed.
