This means that there was no restriction of only free people being designated to take the sacrificial animals; rather, slaves would also take them.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
Manhar is the place where the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) performed the sacrifice. That location was near Jamrah Aqabah, close to Masjid Khaif; however, sacrifice can be performed anywhere in Mina, as the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
“I have performed the sacrifice at this place, but all of Mina is a place of sacrifice. You are permitted to perform the sacrifice in your tents as well.” (Sahih Muslim, Al-Hajj, Hadith: 2952(1218))
But Abdullah ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu), out of his passion for following the Sunnah, would seek out and pray only at those places where the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) had prayed, and would perform the sacrifice at the very spot where the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) had performed it.

(2)
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to perform the sacrifice at the Eid prayer ground.
The meaning of this hadith is that when he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) performed the sacrifice in Madinah Tayyibah, he would choose the Eid prayer ground.
