The Book of Hajj
بَابُ الطِّيبِ عِنْدَ الإِحْرَامِ وَمَا يَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَيَتَرَجَّلَ وَيَدَّهِنَ:
(18) Chapter. The use of perfume while assuming Ihram. What to wear when one intends to assume Ihram. May one comb and put oil one’s hair?
Hadith 1539
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِإِحْرَامِهِ حِينَ يُحْرِمُ وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ " .
Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) I used to scent Allah's Apostle when he wanted to assume Ihram and also on finishing Ihram before the Tawaf round the Ka`ba (Tawaf-al-ifada).
